Remington Atwood joined Mazuma Capital in 2012 as Credit Manager. He was quickly promoted to Vice President of Finance as he is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive credit and accounting experience. In 2021, Atwood was promoted to Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to joining Mazuma, he worked with a public accounting firm auditing financial institutions. As a result, he was intimately aware of corporate accounting best practices and policies. He helped the firm double its client base and annual revenues while improving efficiencies and maintaining excellent client relationships. He was responsible for overseeing financial statement audits and communicating audit findings and recommendations to management.

While at Mazuma, Atwood has helped oversee the growth of Mazuma’s lease portfolio from $20 million to over $500 million. He has refined the processes used to evaluate customers and streamline the credit process to continually improve Mazuma’s speed and delivery to its customers, all while maintaining charge-offs at levels below industry averages. He continues to build relationships with funding partners that enable Mazuma to serve its customers and maintain its position as a leader in the industry.

He graduated from Brigham Young University and earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Accounting, one of the nation’s top accounting programs. In addition, he enjoys serving the community and being outdoors with his family.
