Michael Mayfield is the Senior Vice President of Remarketing and Strategic Development for Mazuma Capital. He works closely with Mazuma’s lessees and partners, managing end-of-term lease settlements and negotiations.

Mayfield joined Mazuma Capital in 2023. Prior to this, he spent 25 years building a thriving practice at one of Salt Lake City’s largest and oldest law firms, Ray Quinney & Nebeker, including nearly 20 years as a partner of the firm. During that time, Mayfield’s strong work ethic and dedication to his clients earned him a reputation as an outstanding advocate for leasing and finance companies. In 2023, he was selected for inclusion on the list of The Best Lawyers in America© 2023 in Banking and Finance Law, and by the Mountain States Super Lawyers in Banking Law. Mayfield’s peers have repeatedly voted him as one of Utah’s “Legal Elite,” as published by Utah Business Magazine. In 2021, the Banking and Finance Section of the Utah State Bar recognized Mayfield with its “Distinguished Service Award.”

Mayfield received his bachelor’s and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Utah. He actively participates in community service and enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He is a die-hard college football fan and his “happy place” is a packed college football stadium on a crisp autumn afternoon.
